Saturday 9th October 202117:00Michaelchurch (Concert for Craswall by the Magnard Ensemble)
We hope you’ll join us for an evening of wind chamber music from the exuberant Magnard Ensemble. Described by composer Paul Patterson as “a hugely gifted ensemble,” The Magnard Ensemble have built a reputation for both high-quality concert performances and dynamic educational projects. With a passion for new music, their programme includes works by Zemlinsky, Barber, Ligeti, Ibert, Beach, Hindemith and Patterson. Previous holders of the Chamber Music Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music, the Ensemble have also been selected artists for Making Music, the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust, the Tillett Trust Young Artist Platform, the Tunnell Trust and the Nicholas Yonge Society. The players each follow their own individual performing careers, appearing as soloists, chamber musicians and with many of the UK’s leading orchestras. 'Their joy is infectious...The mix of tight ensemble and solo virtuosity was musical delight.' [Andrew Connal, The Latest]. Further details and tickets available at or call 01981 510112.
